Music theatre performers sought to audition for the Australian Premiere of a new musical in Geelong - "The Soldier's Wife".
Book by Rob Robson and music by Geelong composer Gary Wong "The Soldier's Wife" will be staged July 1, 2 & 3 2004 at The Blakiston Theatre, Geelong Performing Arts Centre. The production will be directed by Debbie Fraser and Musical direction by Nolan Bradbury (Ch 10's Good Morning Australia musical director during Australian Idol.)
Based on an old Russian fable, it's morals and themes are very relevant to today. It's a story of power mis-used, a story of death and tragedy, and a story of hope in the face of despair.
There are are a variety of roles and ages required (14 leads and up to 15 ensemble). Most leads are required to sing. Performers 16 years and over are invited to audition.
Auditions will be held at White Eagle House, Fellmongers Rd Breakwater (in Geelong) on April 14, 15 & 18th.
The producing company (GSODA Inc.) are seeking talented energetic performers to be involved in this exciiting new musical - the production will be an Australian Premiere of the show.
