Shire Music Theatre, based in the Sutherland Shire, are proud to announce that the auditions for their May 2004 production are this
Sunday the 1st of Feb.
'The Baker's Wife' has never been produced in
New South Wales before, and there has been only a handful of productions of it Australia wide.
This production will be a NSW premiere.
With Music and Lyrics by Stephen
Schwatz (Godspell, Pippin, Working, The Magic Show) and Book by
Joseph Stein (Fiddler on the Roof), it is a wonderful show for
singers and actors alike.
It is a large ensemble show with 20 roles
plus a chorus.
Open auditions are to be held from 2pm onwards at 54 Denman Ave Woolooware.
For roles, singing auditions will be open auditions, followed by closed reading auditions.
If auditioning for a role you must sing a song of your choice, the song doesn't have to be from the show, but it should still be in a musical style, a ballard would be preferable. An
accompanist will be available for your audition, but you must bring your own sheet music, and please be sure to put it in a plastic
sleeve folder to make it easy for the pianist to turn the pages.
For more information please email me at craigstewart00@yahoo.com.au or call 0422 468 733
Cheers,
Craig Stewart
