Anne Sorenson invites you to a workshop in the therapeutic techniques of Augusto Boal s Theatre of the Oppressed.
This weekend workshop will explore the Rainbow of Desire, a Theatre of the Oppressed technique using the images and language of theatre, to recognise and confront internalised forms of oppression.
Theatre of the Oppressed is an innovative art form useful as a tool for facilitators who wish to address social issues and concerns. Theatre of the Oppressed is the art of looking at ourselves. A means of transforming society. A powerful, dynamic creative way to explore power relations and create collective solutions to concrete problems.
Across the weekend we will use interactive drama games, movement and discussion in this two day workshop at the vibrant new theatre venue in Perth, the Sunroom.
