Auditions
Finding Auditions
Visit the Auditions page from the main menu. Auditions are listed with:
- Production title and company
- Audition dates
- Location
- Payment (paid / expenses / voluntary)
You can filter auditions by state.
Following Auditions in Your State
On the Auditions page, authenticated users can select one or more states to follow. New auditions posted in those states will appear in your daily digest.
Booking an Audition Slot
When a company uses the Theatre Australia booking system, you can book a time slot directly from the audition page.
Booking an audition slot: │ ├─ Visit the audition page ├─ Find an available slot in the "Book an Audition Slot" section ├─ Click the slot time ├─ Enter your name, email, and phone (or these pre-fill if you're signed in) ├─ Add any notes for the director ├─ Click "Confirm booking" │ └─ Confirmation email sent to you Includes: date, time, venue, and a link to cancel if needed
One slot per audition — you can only hold one slot at a time for each audition. Cancel your existing slot before booking a different time.
The Audition Form
After booking, you may be invited to complete an audition form online. This is optional but helpful for directors. The form includes:
- Your contact details (pre-filled from your profile)
- Age and height
- Relevant experience and skills
- Roles you're interested in
- Your rehearsal availability (day-by-day, morning/afternoon/evening)
- A headshot photo
Your form is submitted securely to the company — it's not visible to other auditionees or the general public.
Day-before reminder — if you've booked a slot, you'll receive a reminder email the day before your audition. If you haven't completed the audition form, the reminder will include a link to do so.
