Seems that January may not be a good time to put on a production in Perth. Rumour has it that 2 shows have been cancelled and one has been postponed till April due to very poor ticket sales. Anybody care to comment on this

I don't know about January in Perth, but down here in Busselton, it's our busiest month, with all the tourists in town.
Busselton Repertory Club has a ten show season of its annual pantomime with every show in our 120 seat theatre being half full or better. In fact, there are only 4 shows left so if you want to see 'Goldilocks and the Bear Essentials' (original pantomime in the traditional style written by yours truly - gratuitous plug) and you happen to be down here on holidays, you had better hurry - the last shows are usually sold out.
The panto has all the traditional elements - slapstick for the 5 yearolds, underpants jokes for the ten year olds and double entendres for the adults. It also has contemporary references - eg. Goldilocks falls asleep in the bears' cottage because the porridge has been drugged with the strongest narcotic known to man (distilled essence from the speeches of John Howard)
Now that I have finished this plug under the guise of replying to a gossip item, I'll go.
Cheers
Rod Clark
