Melba I
Fri, 17 Dec 1999, 07:04 pmHello Everybody!
Well, as I am just about to leave my present job and its email access for horizons anew, I thought I would say thank you to everyone who has made life bearable over the last six months or so that I have been subscribed to the ITA mailing list!
It is nice to know that, however down you are, however pathetic you think your life is, there is always someone willing to post something REALLY stupid to the mailling list, to let you know that, no, you aren't the most miserable creature on the Gods' Good Earth. Rather like the feeling one gets when one rocks up to the 9:15PM session of the Pokemon movie on the opening night at Carousel, only to find out that you are not the geekiest person there, by quite a long stretch...
Ah, Life is grand!
While I'm on the subject of Pokemon...
Isn't it strange that the person who does the voice of Pikachu can portray more depth and emotion using just three syllables (Pi, Ka and Chu) than whole legions of so-called 'legitimate' actors. The day will come when someone wins an Academy Award or Golden Globe for voicing an animated character. That will be a day to look forward to, for I think some of the people who do these voices are fantastic.
Only 380 days to go 'til the new Millennium!
Paul Treasure
PS: Okay Grant, you can zap my name off of the list now. If I have email access at my new place of employment, I shall let you know.
