Puppeteers and puppet makers required
Fri, 1 Sept 2006, 08:50 amWe are currently on the look out for Puppetry experts within Australia to collaborate with us on a rather interesting venture. We are specifically looking for Puppetry designers with the ability to go into intricate detail creating puppets. Also some animatronics would be an advantage.
Paid positions may be available if the right candidates can be found.
We are currently in negotiations with an international company for rights. If we succeed in obtaining these rights the show will be professional and require lengthy committment. (This will mean paid work).
Please email: jaxson@actorsnotincluded.com.au with a resume and design work. Or if you require more information please email: gareth@actorsnotincluded.com.au

Sat, 2 Sept 2006, 09:53 amAt this point in time we can give very little information publically as we are still in negotiations. I apologize for this. However during the selection process this information will be avaliable to some candidates.
The main types of puppetry used will be rod and muppet however, we will be using a reasonable amount of animatronics also... so as stated earlier that would be an advantage (but not a necessity). We are situated in Melbourne and if negotiations are successful we would be primarily based there until the show goes on tour, at which stage we envision quite a while on the road throughout the capital cities of Australia.
We need a very strong puppetry and puppetry design team for this project (even during concept stages) we are not necissarily looking for professionals but definately need people with a good sound background in all aspects of puppetry design and building to performing.
At this point in time that is about all I can say.
