Casting Directors

Hi there, As an actor i am finding it increasingly hard to secure representation, can anyone out there recommend which agents are taking actors at the moment? Everyone I have approached have claimed that their books are closed, surely there must be come agents who are accepting talent? I am 24 years old and have been told I could be landing jobs. I'm not sure what's happening out there exactly (not being an actor and all), but a friend of mine is having the same trouble. Her casting agent folded (according to her, because of a lack of work available to actors, therefore the agent received no commissions lately) and can't find any new ones. On "The Rehearsal Room" website under auditions there is an ad. for a new agency run by actors looking for people. It's called One Ten Media - the website is www.onetenmedia.com.au if you want to check it out do so. To be frank it has very little information on there. Cheers!! :)
