BAD TRANSLATION is a satirical film that explores issues of cultural identity, honesty and alienation. Below is a short synopsis:

A desperate Chinese woman (Jaja Chen) hires an interpreter (Trevor Lee) to communicate with a string of potential candidates for marriage in the hope to get an Australian citizenship. Her meetings with these men turn awry and disastrous when the interpreter misinterprets the conversations intentionally; so that he stands a chance to win her heart.

We are currently seeking actors for the following roles:

Mrs Elizabeth Barney, 63, former primary school principal and. Widowed when young, she is strict, mean and loves controlling her son, Jarrod.
George McGrath, Truck driver, ex-sailor, 46. Weathered but still adventurous. Travelling is in George’s blood, and he yearns to settle down and with a wife.
Jeffrey Curtis, Marketing Manger, 40. Ex-military man and widower, looking for a new wife that is subservient.
Randall Shortess, Architect, 28. Randall is relatively good looking and he is bohemian and an idealist. He likes Asian culture and enjoys travelling.
Jarrod Barney, Biotechnologist, 35. Scrawny, Nerdy and shy. He is forced to go for a match-making session by his domineering mother.
Kevin Morgan, IT engineer, 30. Alpha male, athletic. Kevin is on the rebound, and looking for a girlfriend to spite his ex.
Matthew Clemson, Secondary School Student, 15. Matt is a desperate to get a chick, he poses as an adult and attend a match-making session.
Tyler Paterson, Surfer Dude, 26. Tanned, carefree and happy-go-lucky kinda guy. Taking time off from real life.

Other Roles- minimal lines, but requires flexibility, wide emotional range and a sense of humour:
Overweight Man, 30-60 years old. Cheerful but sloppy.
Nerd, 25-45years old. Bookworm bordering psychotic
Sultry Chick, mid 20s. The Mafia’s woman!
Elderly Man, 60-80 years old. Lonely and very talkative.
Bouncer / Rogue, 30-45 years old. Mean with low intelligence

audition for student film
HI JUST CAME ACCROSS AUDITION AND REALIZED THAT I MAY HAVE MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO.SO I DONT WASTE UR TIME BY EMAILING MY DETAILS IF IT IS TO LATE.
I CURRENTLY STUDY WITH PETER SARDIS SCHOOL OF ACTING AND HAVE HAD A XTRA ROLL IN A FILM YET TO BE RELEASED CALLED NOISE DIRECTED BY MATTHEW SAVILLE. IF I AM STILL ABLE TO DO SO COULD YOU PLEASE CONFIRM.
